Another reason I feel essentialism would be the best philosophy to put into action in my classroom is because it can instruct and be useful to all students despite their different learning styles. As a teacher, during a lecture period, I can gauge my lecture first to those students who are auditory learners and who will learn just from my lecture and then perhaps through examples and hands on experiments for those who are kinesthetic learners and so on. Essentialism gives me, as the teacher, this extra power to choose how I will best present the lesson so that all the students will get the most out of it and I think that is very important in a classroom where you have to cater to many different learning styles.
